Karl Becker Outside 2nd CD of double album released 11/11/2015
- Publication date
This is the 2nd part of a double album that I created over the last few years. I made each song more or less individually. Then in 2015 I noticed that since 2010 or so, I had put together over 25 pieces of music, all individual and unique and worth compiling. The result was the double album "Songs For The Homeless & Outside" with optional deluxe edition. It sold 1 copy. The only person who bought it had been pronounced independantly wealthy some time before. As you can see, people are all poor, and nobody has the money to buy new music. I am no different.
In an effort to maintain the work that I put into the music, which was huge, and spanned the time that I had learned to use the music creation tool on the computer, I am going to be uploading the tracks partially or completely here to Archive dot Org, as long as they are willing to host the album.
These tracks are large, that is because they are first of all, LOSSLESS WAV, which is the opposite of MP3 as far as recording quality goes. More than this, however, they are all 5.1 Dolby, which means that they are produced in 6 tracks instead of the usual 2. Not many people have the technology required to fully appreciate this sound, as it would require a machine which could specifically channel each of these tracks to an individual speaker. However the sound can be channeled into 2 or 3 (subwoofeer 2.1) sound, which are the more normal stereo system.
If you can get it into 6 speakers, straight from the wav files, in 6 separate channels, without any "emulated" dolby sound, please leave a comment on how that sounds. Most of these tracks were specifically designed by tracking separate portions of the recorded audio to each of the 6 speakers, of course the heavy bass in the LFE (subwoofer) and the voice into the front speaker and a gradient for each speaker in between.
The music can be burned to cd from Windows Media Player, or other music file burning tools. It will lose the surround aspect, and not be readable as 6 channel wav, if that is done. It can also be loaded onto microSD (it is 8.6GB in total when the entire 34 song double album + deluxe package is loaded) and listened to through WAV form on your android device. Dolby emulators are available in apps from the app market or internet. I recommend the dolby surround emulator "Noozxoide" which has a lot of options and changes the sound in headphones considerably.
Every song should be added along with its individual song art. There is an image file for every song on the album, including the songs of the deluxe edition. There is a file tree to my right as I write this, showing each folder and its song file (wav) and image file (jpg). Every file is named "AlbumArtSmall.jpg" and each song should have the number, and song name. There are 34 songs in all, and this portion, the "Outside" portion, contains 13 songs. When you load all 13 songs, in separate folders with image files, your android device will display each songs album art as the song plays. This was designed this way deliberately.
There is not a single note out of place in this recording, if it sounds uncooked, or overcompressed, that was the artists wish at the time of creation.
These songs were created primarily between 2013 and 11-11-2015, though two tracks contain material from 2002 and one track contains material from 2010. All other sounds are produced after 2013.
